| Upcoming Events Next Race- Saturday Sept 4th- Race # 15 Grundy County Speedway. |
| Race Updates 8/28/10- Another exciting night of racing for Tyler Brown Racing out at Plymouth Speedway. Tyler had a good qualifying run and would start 3rd for both the Heat and the Feature Races. In the 8 lap Heat race Tyler jumped out in front and lead the whole race and took the checkered flag for the win! In the 20 lap Feature race Tyler would start 3rd and moved up to 2nd in no time and that is where he ran for most of the race. He was trying to run down the #98 car of Jaret James and would gain some ground then lose some. With only 3 laps to go the #98 wobbled just enough coming out of turn 2 to give Tyler the edge to take over the # 1 position. The # 98 was fighting back strong and with one lap to go was able to get a pretty good run on Tyler in turns 3 & 4 and coming to the line Tyler had him by only about 1/2 car and took home the Feature win! That is two weeks in a row that Tyler was able to win both the Heat and Feature races. You did an AWESOME job Tyler! All of the kids put on an awesome race. It was the best side by side Mini Cup Car racing action around! Come on out and see if Tyler can go for three in a row next Saturday night 9/04/10 out at Grundy County Speedway! We only have 2 more local races left out at Grundy County Speedway this season. Don't miss your chance to witness the best young drivers around battling for the checkered flag! 8/21/10- We were back out to Rockford Speedway for the last time this season this past Saturday night. Once again Tyler did an awesome job and was the 2nd fastest in Qualifying. In the Heat race he would start in the 6th position and worked his way up to 3rd and would run there for most of the race. On the last lap the front two cars #16 of Erica Ensor and the #29 of Kodee Busekros were battling for the top spot. Down the back stretch Tyler was able to get an awesome run and went down low in turns 3 and 4 and took over the top spot to win the race! It was a very exciting finish! In the Feature Race Tyler would start in the #2 position and when the green flag dropped he jumped out to take an early lead. He would pretty much run up front the whole race and had some side by side battling with the # 29 car of Kodee Busekros but would prevail. Again in the last lap the # 98 car of Jaret James worked his way up and got an awesome run down the back stretch and he was side by side with Tyler going into turns 3 and 4! Jaret was not able to hold on and spun going into turn 4 and Tyler took home the win! Both races were some of the most exciting finishes we have had all season long! We are back out to the great state of Indiana and off to Plymouth Speedway this Saturday August 28th. Come on out for some great racing action! 8/14/10- This past Saturday we were back out to Grundy County Speedway running with the UMARA Midget series Once again Tyler did and awesome job in both the Heat and the Feature races bring home a 3rd place finish in both events. The CSR Future Stars of Racing (Tyler's Series) really knows how to put on an awesome race! Great job to all of the drivers! This next Saturday Aug 21st will bring us back to the high banked 1/4 mile of Rockford Speedway out in Loves Park, IL. It is Kids Night and the racing action kicks off at 7:07PM. The will be "The Great Bike Give-A-Way" with Kid's Bike Races, Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunner, and the spectacular Central States Region Super Cups, plus a Driver's Bike Race. This is the last chance to come on out to Rockford Speedway this year to see Tyler race. Don't miss out on another great family night out at the races! Hope to see you there! 7/31/10- This past weekend brought us up to the great states of Wisconsin to the beautiful Dells Raceway Park. Tyler would finish 3rd in the Heat Race but would not fair so well in the Feature. With only a handful of laps to go Tyler was trying to make a pass in turns one and two for the 2nd position when the car on the outside of Tyler came down and put Tyler into the infield bringing out the caution flag. Unfortunately Tyler would not get his spot back and would be placed at the back of the field for the restart. Tyler did an awesome job of gaining back 6 positions to finish the Feature with a very respectable 6th place finish! I guess that's racing! We are off for a weekend and will be back on the track at Grundy County Speedway on Saturday August 14th running with the UMARA Midget cars again. Mark your calendars and come on out for some of the best short track racing in the Midwest! 7/24/10- We were back out to Historic Rockford Speedway for the second week in a row for another action packed night of racing. Tyler did another great job finishing 3rd in the Heat and 5th in the Feature. The new motor seems to working well but now we ran into a clutch issue. We should have that good to go for this next weekend of racing up at the Dells Raceway Park in the Wisconsin Dells. 7/17/10- This past weekend brought us back to historic Rockford Speedway in Loves Park, IL for some super hot Mini Cup Car racing action. Tyler had a great night with a 4th place finish in the Heat race and a 3rd place finish in the Feature race! The new motor went into the car this week so it should be another great run for Tyler this coming weekend back out to Rockford Speedway. We will be running with the ASA Late Model Series so it is going to be one heck of a show. Come on out and enjoy some quality family time at the races! Click on the Flyer to the left and print it out for a $5 off coupon for adult tickets. Hope to see you there! 7/10/10- So much for two weeks off. We ended up taking a road trip down to Anderson Speedway in southern Indiana this past Saturday night to race with the IKO Mini Cup Series. Tyler and I made the trip down with fellow racer Erica Ensor and her dad Ed. It was a great night of racing at the world's fastest 1/4 mile track. This is what the IKO sereis had posted on their site. The IKO Series rolled into Anderson Indiana for the first actual event there this season. We want to give a shout out to our friends from the CSR who made the drive to race with us, Erica Ensor and Tyler Brown. It is a pleasure to know them and both are good little racers! A new track record (16.163) was set by 15-Trey Craig shattering the old mark (16.23) that stood for years. The first heat saw a problem on the start with the 83 of McClay turning the 81 Blair and collecting the 56 Harrison going into turn 1. The restart saw 88-Jared Rupert go on to win with the 20-Tyler Brown and 14-Corey Deuser rounding out the top three. The second heat saw 16-Erica Ensor on the pole and 2-Lorance race hard for the lead. 2-Lorance gets the advantage leaving 16-Ensor to battle 18- Stiffler for most of the race for 2nd. After a hard fought battle the 18-Stiffler and the 07-Johnson get by 16-Ensor with 15-Craig rounding out the top 5 The feature event was a very good race thru out the field. The 07-Johnson at the start of the race had the pace car slowing down and holding him up coming to the green. I am not sure what the pace car was trying to accomplish but he may have cost the 07-Jonhson the race. The 18-Stiffler was able to get to the front from the outside pole going into turn one with 07Johnson falling to second followed by the new track record holder 15 Craig in third, 2 Lorance and 16 Ensor rounding out the top 5. The 16 Ensor and 56 Harrison had one of the best battles of the race for the 5th position with 16 Ensor holding off the hard charging 56 Harrison. The 7th place was contested just as hard between the 20 Tyler Brown, 14 Corey Deuser and 83 Jacob McClay with 20 Brown taking the 7th spot followed by 14 Deuser, 83 McClay, 88 Rupert and 81 Blair. Thanks again to the IKO Series for letting us race with them. Our next race with CSR is this coming Saturday out at historic Rockford Speedway. Racing action kicks off at 7:07pm! 6/26/10- This past weekend brought us back out to Plymouth Speedway for another scorching hot day of Mini Cup Car Racing action. We were able to get some of the issues we had from the previous weeks resolved and Tyler was able to finish the Heat Race in 4th. In the Feature race Tyler was stuck behind 4 cars running two wide the whole race and just could not get around them. He finally was able to get a good enough run on the last lap going into turn 3 and he made it 3 wide. Unfortunately the 2 cars above him rubbed a little and touch with Tyler and stopped his moment. Tyler ended up finishing in 7th place. He car was fast, only .02 seconds slower than the fastest car. We were just not able to capitalize on it. Oh well, we had fun anyway! We are off for 2 weeks (THANK GOD I NEED A REST!) and we will be back to racing out at historic Rockford Speedway on July 17th. We have extended the "Race For A Cure" date to August 1st. If you have not had a chance to make your donation please do so. It is for a great cause! Thanks to all who have already made a donation. Visit the "Race For A Cure" Page to see you name. Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July! 6/19/10- This past weekend we were out at Grundy County Speedway along with the UMARA Midget cars. What a blast to what those guys race! Team Tyler Brown Racing did not have that good of a night. To start off the night the car was having carbarator issues. We thought we got it fixed but we were still not that fast. Tyler did the best he could do with what he had. He finished 7th in both the Heat and Feature Races. Not a good night but I guess it could be worse. The car should be ready to go for our next race out at Plymouth Speedway out in Plymouth IN. 6/12/10- With a week off due to the wonderful weather we have been having Tyler was ready to jump back into the car and hit the track. Once again Tyler did an awesome job, he Qualified 2nd, was 6th in the Heat, and finished a close 3rd in the Feature! We are back out to Grundy County Speedway Saturday June 19th for another great night of Super Cup Racing action! Come on out and enjoy a night out at the speedway with the family! 06/05/10- GRUNDY COUNTY SPEEDWAY-RAINED OUT! :( 05/30/10- This weeks racing action was out at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL. It was very Hot and humid and the racing action was even hotter. Tyler Qualified 4th, took 5th in the Heat Race and 4th in the Feature. Now that the warmer weather is upon us I need to make some adjustments to the car so it runs better in the heat! All in all it was a great day/night of Mini Cup Car Racing actions! We will return to Grundy County Speedway next Saturday June 5th running along with UMARA midget cars! Come on out for an exciting night of racing! 05/22/10- It was another great night of racing for team Tyler Brown Racing. Once again Tyler did and awesome job. He was the 2nd fastest Qualifier, took 5th in the Heat and placed 2nd in the Feature. Congratulations to Erica Ensor on her, that's right I said HER first ever Feature Win in a Super Cup Car! Great Job! Our next race is Sunday May 30th out at Grundy County Speedway in Morris IL with the ASA Late Models. Come on out for a fun night of racing action! 05/15/10- The 2nd race of the season turn out to be much better then the 1st race for Team Tyler Brown Racing. In the 8 lap heat race Tyler's car was just not quite right and he finished in the 5th position. The Feature race was a different story though! Tyler was slotted to start in the 3rd position but due to mechanical problems on another car his line moved up and that would put him on the Pole! When the green flagged dropped there was no looking back for Tyler. After last weeks disappointing finish to a race he should have won he was not going to let this one slip away. Lap after lap Tyler would keep putting distance between him and the rest of the field. At one point he almost had a 1/2 lap lead. There was some tense moments when he came up on lap traffic but that did not slow him down. Tyler achieved his goal of a WIN IN 2010! I was so happy that I had tears of joy running down my face! Laura and I could not be prouder of the great job Tyler is doing in his racing career! Congratulations Tyler your are the BEST! Our next race is this Saturday May 22nd out at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth Indiana. 05/01/10- The first race of the season did not end the way we would have liked. Tyler had the fastest car of the day but it just was not his day. He Qualified 4th, finished 4th in the Heat Race and the Feature was one heck of a race! Tyler stared on the Pole and was doing a great job until there was 2 laps to go. Tyler was in 2nd place and coming out of turn 4 trying to make a pass to take over the lead when the back end got loose and he spun sideways. The car #98 Jarret James, that was right behind Tyler had no place to go and T-boned Tyler right on the front right tire and then the # 16 car, Erica Ensor, was collected in the crash as well. Thankfully no one was hurt, the cars can all be repaired! The officials Red Flagged the race and once the mess was all sorted out Tyler ended up in 5th place for the Feature. Congratulations to Jacob Van Wazer on the win! The car will be back together for our next race on Saturday May 15th out at Historic Rockford Speedway! Come on out and witness the best Mini Cup Racing Action in town! 03/14/10- Even thought the weather was not the best we had a great time at the Chicago St Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday! Now for some awesome news for Tyler Brown Racing. We just closed a deal with Scooby's Hot Dogs in West Chicago, IL as a Major Sponsor! I would like to welcome Joe and the team at Scooby's to the Tyler Brown Racing family! Scooby's has the best hot dogs and fresh cut fries in all of Chicagoland! If you get a chance stop by and check them out for yourself! 03/08/10- We had a great time at the World Of Wheels this past weekend! A big thanks to Tim's Auto Body in Carol Stream, IL and AbsoGRAPH Signs in Carol Stream, IL for the awesome paint and decals! Tyler's car took home the "Outstanding In Class" (2nd place) Award! The car looked GREAT and the fans loved it! Our next big event will be the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday March 13th at noon. Watch for us on ABC 7. |
